THE LIFELESS BODY OF A KIDNAPPED GSA CLERIC FOUND DUMPED IN EMBU

The lifeless body of a soft spoken cleric who went missing after he was allegedly kidnapped by three unknown assailants on Thursdays last week was found dumped water pond in Embu County on Saturday.
Sheikh Mohamed Ali Kheir alias Sheikh Dawara cleric – cum – prominent business man went missing after allegedly accosted by 3 men, while walking along Posta road in Garissa town. The assailants according to eyewitnesses handcuffed before forcing him into a nondescript vehicle.
Yussuf Ali Kheir, a brother to the deceased said they search for their kidnapped sibling has led them to all police stations and hospitals in the country noting that they can't speculate the motive of his kidnapping and the subsequent murder.
"My brother is non controversial person, who involves himself in any matter other than religious issues and his legal trade. He has never shown any shown threatens to his life", he added.
He added "We recorded statement with the police over the disappearance of the sheikh. At first we were not worried much since we thought those who took him after handcuffed him could be security officers, however, we got suspicious after we couldn't trace him into any police cell"
Kheir, the brother said after long search they were informed that the body of their missing brother was found dumped at water pond in Embu County, after he was possible murdered by the same people who kidnapped him and the body taken to mortuary in the same town.
"The body of my brother who was missing since Thursday has been found at water pond in Embu, we are now making some arrangement to bring the body to the Garissa town for burial in accordance to the Islamic rituals," He explained.
He said the family is in great shock of the mysterious disappearance of the cleric and now his death which has puzzle many in the town adding that they have never suspected anything wrong was coming to happened to the soft spoken cleric.
Civil societies in Garissa town have registered displeasure over the killing of the cleric and call for immediate investigation into what lead to the death of the deceased.
